As of March 9th 2022 we have started to offer new curriculum for approximately 25 Ukranian children age from 3 to 16 years old, twice a week.

On the basis of Spinoza Foundation in the Hague business center, we start a series of ceramics workshops that will be led by Elena Petrova!
WHAT?
The course will consist of 8 classes.
You will be introduced to all of the main hand-building techniques of working with clay!
It means that we will explore the following techniques both in theory and on practice:
• Coil method
• Slab method
• Pinch technique
• Modeling by form
Please mind that the course is available for children and adults. There will 2 separate groups.
WHEN?
The final date/time for the classes will be announced after groups will be formed. There are 2 possible options:
Monday (starting from Feb 4th)
16.00 - 17.30 – a group for children
19.00 – 21.00 – a group for adults
Tuesday (starting from Feb 5th)
16.30 – 18.00 – a group for children
19.00 – 21.00 – a group for adults

Gregory Kohelet
De laatste vier jaar staat het werk van Gregory Kohelet in het teken van de rol van de kunstenaar in de maatschappij. Hierbij stelt hij zich constant de vraag welke bijdrage hij kan leveren. Dit staat in contrast met hoe hij voorheen de zwaardere filosofische vormen vanuit Rusland hem liet domineren. Nu kiest hij bewust voor de positieve dimensies die in zijn ogen belangrijk zijn voor de mensen. Een schilderij wil hij sleutel laten zijn voor het ontdekken van onze individuele eigenheid, ons bijzondere leven. Tegelijkertijd breekt hij hiermee ook de muren van zijn atelier af, de muren die hem van mijn publiek afzonderde. Hij stapt naar buiten, is open en op zoek naar de verbindingen tussen het publiek en zichzelf, want hij wil als kunstenaar niet slechts voor zijn ego werken. Dit noemt hij Integrale Kunst. Via twee thema’s zoekt hij verbinding: door te vertellen over zijn geschiedenis en omgeving/landschappen (Rusland, Israël en Nederland).
Zo probeert Kohelet mensen tot reflectie te bewegen, zodat ook zij hun geschiedenis en omgeving onderzoeken en dat ook zij de muren die hen van elkaar scheiden afbreken om met elkaar in dialoog gaan. Hiervoor maakt hij o.a. portretten, landschappen, stadsimpressies en collages in verschillende stijlen: figuratief en abstract. Kohelet is als kunstenaar op zoek naar die harmonie, het evenwicht, en wil in zijn werk tonen dat vanuit chaos (explosie van vormen) nieuw leven (boom met wortels als symbool van dit begin), nieuw wederzijds begrip en nieuwe orde kan ontstaan om samen een dynamisch evenwicht op te kunnen bouwen.
De tentoonstelling wordt geopend door drs. Birgitta van Blitterswijk, kunsthistorica, op zondag 31 maart om 15.00 uur.

Sign up for an intensive 10 weeks Dutch beginners or intermediate course at the Spinoza school in the Hague!
During the beginners class we will cover basic grammar, useful phrases in everyday situations, get you to a basic level of speaking Dutch and help you understanding Dutch culture. The goal is to get to level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This is your chance to get your Dutch going!
For intermediate level we will be focusing on advanced grammar, complex conversations on concrete and abstract topics. The goal is to reach a higher level of fluency at B1/B2 level, dependent on the group level.
Teacher is a Dutch native-speaker, her name is Rosa. She studied Russian Studies at the Leiden University, and afterwards specialized in teaching Dutch.

The course will start on Monday, February 11, 18:30 - 20:30.
Course level will depend on the number of submissions (min 5 and max 8 students per class).
The course fee is 280 euro (10 weeks).
